Scouting for IPM - Home | What is IPM | Great links | Focused searches | Why this site?

This IPM site was created as part of the vision of the Partnership for Regional Cooperation (PARECO), a U.S. North Central Regional project.

The purpose of PARECO is to assist Extension, Agricultural Experiment Station, and Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) employees in developing new ways of communicating, collaborating and sharing state-of-the-art tools and information systems. Michigan State University is responsible for the integrated pest management portion of this project. PARECO topics addressed by other North Central Regional universities include a range of soil and water quality issues for agriculture. Visit the PARECO Web site to learn more.

The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) committee of PARECO chaired by MSU and included these members:

  • Charles Edson, IPM Program, Michigan State University
  • Joy Landis, IPM Program, Michigan State University
  • Susan Smalley, Sustainable Ag, Michigan State University
  • Larry Dyer, Sustainable Ag, Michigan State University
  • Bruce Giebink, Water Quality Education, University of Minnesota
  • Brian Jensen, IPM Program, University of Wisconsin
  • George Smith, IPM Program, University of Missouri

Additional web research and expertise were provided by Betsy Bricker, MSU Sustainable Ag and Todd Rossman, MSU IPM/Pesticide Ed./PIAP Programs
