The North Central Region of the National IPM Network. Any exploration of IPM should include the science-based advice available here at the land grant universities. The backbone of the National IPM Network consists of web servers for each of the USDA defined regions (Southern, Northeastern, North Central, and Western) in the USA. The site includes a contact list for university staff working with IPM, sustainable agriculture, pesticide education and pesticide impact assessment. The North Central Region includes:
- Illinois, University of
- Indiana, Purdue University
- Iowa State University
- Kansas State University
- Michigan State University

Agriculture Network Information Center. The Agriculture Network Information Center (AgNIC) is a voluntary alliance of the National Agricultural Library (NAL), land grant universities and other agricultural organizations, in cooperation with citizen groups and government agencies. AgNIC focuses on providing agricultural information in electronic format over the World Wide Web. Click on the "browse by topic" link to search for various subjects belonging to a wide array of disciplines. Clicking on a subject will lead to more and more specific topics.

Sustainable Agricultural Systems Laboratory. This USDA lab develops principles and practices toward sustainable agroecosystems. A multidisciplinary team of microbiologists, soil ecologists, weed scientists, plant physiologists, plant breeders, and economists address fundamental problems that limit the development of sustainable farming systems. Research focuses on development of cover crop-based production systems, improved cultivars of cover crops, integrated weed management systems, and biological pest control strategies as well as understanding the microbiological processes that improve soil quality and the molecular and biochemical mechanisms that improve the ability of crops to adapt to or resist the effects of environmental stress.

Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN). A cooperative effort of university, government, farm, business and non-profit organizations, SAN provides information in support of profitable and environmentally sound farming practices. SAN is the publication and outreach branch of the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Program. Its publications can be found on the SARE website.
