Predators suppress soybean aphid in some Michigan fields

Figure 1.  Aphid populations were compared on plants open to predators and caged plants that excluded predators.  On caged plants aphid populations increased to nearly 800/plant in two weeks.  On open plants, aphid populations remained low, never exceeding 100/plant.
